Ex Pondy Min Subramaniya passes away

Puducherry, Nov 5: Former Puducherry Minister K R Subramaniya Padayachi died at a hospital in Cuddalore late last night.

He was 83 and is survived by his wife, six sons and a daughter.

The former minister, who was ailing for sometime was admitted to a hospital in Cuddalore. He passed away around midnight.

Elected to the territorial Assembly four times from Bahour and Kuruvinatham constituencies, he was the PWD Minister in 1969.

He will be creamted on the banks of Thenpennyaru river at Cuddalore, in neighbouring Tamil Nadu this evening.
