TiE global names J A Chowdary to its board of trustees

Hyderabad Nov 4, (ANI/Business Wire India): JA Chowdary, President, TiE, Hyderabad Chapter and Managing Director, NVIDIA Graphics India, has been elected to serve on the board of trustees of the TiE Global for a two year term, starting from January 1, 2009.

J A as he is popularly known in the industry circles has been associated with Information Technology for well over two decades now.

J A Chowdary has contributed to several reputed organizations in his career spanning over 25 years now. In his role as Director of STPIs in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, J A as he is popularly known has played a key role in the spurt of outsourced software development and the setting up of many an Indian operation of Multi-National companies.

He has also held several key positions in industry circles and has been championing the growth of IT in Andhra Pradesh.

He has made significant contribution to promote the e-governance initiatives for the Government of AP in his role as advisor to IT task force. J

A Chowdary has been on the board of IIIT, Hyderabad and currently holds the post of President of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). His earlier position includes Chairmanship of IEEE Hyderabad section, American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Hyderabad Chapter and President of Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA).

JA has been championing the cause of the academia-industry linkage and promoting this cause for the mutual benefit of both. He is a strong promoter of corporate social responsibility and is on the Board of Trustees of Naandi an NGO.

J A holds two masters degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai and Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi.
