MCX metals, energy composite index down

Mumbai, Nov 4 (UNI) The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) composite index of metals and energy was down by 0.83 per cent at 2,072.66 points here today.

MCX Energy eased by 1.84 per cent at 2,466.89 points.

Gold June 09 contract fell by one per cent at Rs 11,808 per 10 grams and Silver May 09 contract by 3.65 per cent at Rs 17,434 per kg, a MCX release said.

Aluminum January 09 contract declined by 2.48 per cent at Rs 98.50 per kg, lead January 09 contract lost by 3.71 per cent at Rs 72.60 per kg, nickel January 09 contract by 2.71 per cent at Rs 599.20 per kg and zinc December 08 contract by 1.61 per cent at Rs 57.95 per kg.

Crude oil January 09 contract also moved down by 2.99 per cent to Rs 3,241 per barrel, the release added.
