Man lands behind bars for posing as minister's son
Fatehgarh Sahib, Nov 4 (UNI) A Mandi Gobindgarh-based trader who tried to intimidate a police officer by impersonating as a minister's son, has landed himself behind bars.
Police today presented the accused Vicky Sekhon in an Amloh court, where he was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days in the case registered against him under sections 419, 186, 366, 332 of IPC.
Police sources said that Vicky had made a call on the mobile phone of Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Dr Kaustabh Sharma and introduced himself as son of Punjab Irrigation Minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon.
He then directed him not to take any action against Vicky Sekhon of Mandi Gobindgarh if he ever received any complaint against the trader.
The alert SSP however, got the details of mobile number checked and found that it was registered on the name of Vicky Sekhon. He also verified from the minister's office and home that no one had made any call to the police.
The police then registered a case against Vicky and nabbed him.
