Madurai: Health care at cheap rates now

Madurai, Nov 4: There is a health care revolution happening in Madurai. Thanks to SUHAM (Sustainable Healthcare Advancement) Speciality Hospital at Kural Nagar where an ultra sound scan is just Rs. 200; a CT scan for Rs. 800; an MRI scan for Rs. 1,500; child delivery by Caesarean section for Rs. 6,000; consultation fee with one injection is Rs. 30.

This initiative of self-help groups has proved that quality healthcare can be provided for the poor at an affordable cost.
