Pondy: TN Jamaat stage protests

Puducherry, Nov 4: The Puducherry unit of the Tamil Nadu Thouheet Jamaat held a demonstration at the Kamaraj statue junction on Tuesday, Nov 4. Led by Puducherry President S M Thaazim, the agitation was to protest the tendency of implicating Muslims in all incidents of bomb blasts anywhere in the country.

Meanwhile, fishermen of Kalapet and Kanagachettikkulam dumped fishes on the road at the Ajantha junction and held a demonstration to protest the opposition of Puducherry fish vendors at the Grand bazaar to their entry into the fish market to sell fishes.

The fishermen alleged that the Pudcherry fish vendors were opposing their entry as they used to sell fishes at a reasonable price compared to the prices fixed by them.

Police pacified them following which, they called off their agitation.
