Body of youth recovered from Bhakra canal

Fatehgarh Sahib, Nov 4 (UNI) Body of a 23-year-old youth was recovered from Bhakra Canal near village Sadhugarh of district Fatehgarh Sahib.

The youth, Harpreet Singh, a resident of village Hawara was missing under mysterious circumstances from his home from last week.

Father of the deceased, Sukhmukh Singh had got the missing report registered in the Khamano police October 30 after which the police found his clothes and cycle from village Lutheri. His body was taken out from the canal today.

According to Sukhmukh Singh, his son had gone to sleep in his room after dinner on october 29 night but when his family woke up in morning they found that he was missing with his cycle.

The Khamano police had initiated proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC.
