Assamese community condemns serial blasts in the state
Guwahati, Nov 4 (UNI) The Assamese community residing outside the state has registered their protests against the serial blasts of October 30 in their home state, which left 82 dead so far and over 800 injured.
Condemning the blasts as dastardly act, the Assam Association of UK, in a release today offered their sympathies to the affected families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The Association also urged the governments to take adequate safety measures to ensure that such violence is not repeated.
The Assamese residing in different cities in the country have already held mourning meetings and took out rallies to display their solidarity.
Assamese in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, among others, have condemned the blasts and held protest meets in those cities.
Locals and people from other states were also reported to have participated in these protest meets, expressing sympathy with the state at this hour of grief.
