Shoot for movie on Kuvempu begins
Mysore, Nov 3 (UNI) Shooting of the Kannada movie on Jnanpeeth award winner K V Puttappa popularly known as Kuevempu, began at the writer's residence here today.
The movie is being produced by Aravind and Padamaprkash and directed by Rithivk Simha, son of noted artiest C R Simha.
Speaking to media persons Simha said V Manohar had scored the music with six songs picked up from Kuvempu's works including an English song.
Kuvempu, in his younger days, would be portrayed B Y Narish of Prabhat Artists and during his older days by C R Simha.
The movie would be completed on just one month to be shot in the city, Theerthalli and Bangalore. Kuvempu's wife late Hemvathi would be portrayed by Padmaja Srinivas.
The mahurat shot of C R Simha offering puja to portrait of Ramakrishna Paramahamasa was picturised at his residence. Dr K Chidananda Gowda, former Vice Chancellor of Kuvempu University and son-in-law of Kuvempu clapping the board.
Littereateurs Prof D Javere Gowda, Malali Vasathkumar, Tharini (Kuvempu's daughter) and others present on the occasion.
