Over 30 lakh tonne paddy arrives in Haryana mandis
Chandigarh, Nov 3 (UNI) Over 30.72 lakh tonnes of paddy has arrived in the mandis of Haryana during the current Kharif season so far.
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Food and Supplies Department said that out of the total paddy arrival, about 16.92 lakh tonnes had been procured by government agencies at the minimum support price and the remaining about 13.80 lakh tonnes had been purchased by the private millers and traders.
Giving the details, he said Hafed had procured 7.18 lakh tonnes of paddy, Food and Supplies Department 5.03 lakh tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 1.75 lakh tonnes, HWC 65,956 tonnes, FCI 7,281 tonnes and Confed 2.21 lakh tonnes.
He said district Kurukshetra was leading with the arrival of 6.42 tonnes , followed by Karnal 5.30 tonnes, Fatehabad 4.18 lakh tonnes, Kaithal 3.43 lakh tonnes, Ambala 2.96 lakh tonnes, Yamunanagar 2.18 lakh tonnes, Jind 1.55 lakh tonnes, Sirsa 1.38 lakh tonnes and Panipat 1.19 lakh tonnes.
