Old woman stabbed to death in Haryana

Rohtak, Nov 3 (UNI) An aged woman was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife in her house at Jhang Colony here today, police sources here said.

The deceased has been identified as Ishwari Devi. Robbery was suspected to be the motive of the killers .

The local police registered a case of murder and robbery in this connection and started investigations.

According to police sources, Ishwari Devi had been staying with her nephew's family in their house here. The old lady was alone in the house after her nephew Surender left for his shop. When a servant from the shop came to the house at noon, he found the woman lying dead and subsequently the police was informed.

The police sent the body for post mortem and recovered a blood stained kitchen knife. Some cash and a few gold rings were found missing from the almirah in the house.
