Haryana raises unemployment allowance
Chandigarh, Nov 3 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to increase the unemployment allowance from Rs 300 per month to Rs 450 per month for educated unemployed youths of science stream of class XII and upto graduation level and from Rs 500 per month to Rs 750 per month for science graduates.
A spokesman for the Haryana Employment Department said that under the scheme, any male or female unemployed youth, who passed class XII or above with science stream and female candidates who passed class XII or above (in any stream) would now get unemployment allowance at the rate of Rs 450 per month.
Similarly, a sum of Rs 750 per month would be given as unemployment allowance to all unemployed science graduates (male or female) or above qualification and female graduates or above (in any stream).
He clarified that female applicants would be eligible to apply in one category only. The applications complete in all respect should reach to the concerned District Employment Offices on or before November 30, he added.
