18 arrested for ransacking radio station in city
Mysore, Nov 3 (UNI) Police today arrested 18 activists of a pro-Kannada organisation on charges of attacking a private radio station in the city two days ago.
Police said the accused, including Karnataka Rakshana Vedike's District President Mohan Kumar Gowda were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
The activists attacked the radio station alleging that it aired only Hindi songs on 'Kannada Rajytosava Day' on November one.
They destroyed as many as nine computers and ransacked the office premises.
The Station Director Abinath Kumar had filed a complaint on the issue, police added.
