NCC cadets of schools, colleges take out anti-plastic rally

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 2 (UNI) Hundreds of NCC cadets of Second (TN) Armoured Squadron units of various colleges and schools in the city and about 25 NCC officers, led by Junior Commissioned Officer P Thurai took out an 'anti-plastic awareness' rally here today.

In a statement, Officer Commanding Second (TN) Armoured Squadron NCC Lt Col R Thapar said the rally was flagged-off by Col Ashokan, the Administrative Officer of NCC group headquartes, here.

Partcipants carried placards, highlighting the theme of the rally.

Col Ashokan said the biodegradable materials like Paper bags, clothe bags, and paper cups must be used while the non-recyclable plastic carry-bags should be avoided.
