Kerala: Govt to distribute land to tribals

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 2: The Kerala government has been taking speedy measures to provide land to the landless people, including the tribals , State Revenue Minister K P Rajendran said.

Inaugurating the state-level ''Bhoomi Samrakshana Dinam'' (land protection day) yesterday, Mr Rajendran said '' nobody would resorted to agitation for land and an action plan for distributing land to the deserved adivasis were prepared.'' He said the process had been completed to distribute 35,000 hector of land after re-survey and the distribution of the land recovered by the government from illegal occupiers would begin by January.
