Govt sets up network to determine air quality
New Delhi, Nov 02 (UNI) The government has set up a nation-wide monitoring network for assessment of and to determine the status and trend of ambient air quality.
A total of 341 stations covering 126 cities/towns in 25 States and 4 Union Territories across the country are under operation.
Additionally, 29 monitoring stations will be added to this network during the current year.
Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir will get additional 29 centres this year, an official release said today.
