District Collector urges local bodies to improve hygiene
Tiruchirapalli, Nov 2 (UNI) The District Collector T Soundiah has appealed to all rural local bodies to improve hygiene and strive to get the Nirmal Puraskar award given by the Centre.
Speaking in a function to mark the Local Administration Day at Lalgudi near here yesterday, Mr Soundiah said, so far 110 panchayats in the district received the award and the rest should attempt to emulate the award winners.
He also called upon local body representatives to focus on the Government schemes to execute development projects.
