BJP will form government in four out of the six states
Bhubaneswar, Nov 2 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today said his party will form governments in four out of the six states going to the polls.
Addressing Orissa Pradesh Pratinidhi Sabha here, Mr Singh said surveys conducted in these states indicated that except Mizoram and Jammu&Kashmir, the BJP would form governments in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Chhttisgarh.
In Jammu and Kashmir the party, he said, would emerge as a balancing force and said no government could be formed in that state without the help of the BJP.
Mr Singh said if the survey reports came true then NDA would form the government at the Centre next and appealed to the party activists to work with dedication to achieve the goal.
He said at present the party is in power in seven states and shares power with other parties in five states.
The BJP leader said the murder of Swami Laxamananda Sarswati had hurt the sentiments of not only the Oriyas but every body in the country.
Describing the murder as ''unfortunate'' he said persons behind the crime should be hanged.
He said mass conversion was going on in the name of serving the people and crores of rupees were being spent for conversion.
Mr Singh said religion was an identity of a country and a conspiracy was on to finish the identity of India through mass conversion but the BJP will not allow it to happen.
He said if his party came to power at the Centre it would enact stern laws like POTA and force the neighbouring countries Pakistan and Bangladesh not to allow their land to be used for any terrorist activities against India or face the consequences.
Mr Singh criticised the UPA government for its refusal to admit the existence of Lord Rama. He asked if there was no Rama then how come Mahatma Gandhi visualised to make the country a Rama Rajya and uttered the word''Hey Ram'' before breathing his last.
