Private FM station ransacked by KRV activists
Mysore, Nov 1 (UNI) Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) activists today attacked a private FM Station and ransacked the office furniture in protest against airing of Hindi songs on Kannada Rajyotsava Day.
The KRV activists, who attacked the Station this morning when Hindi songs were aired in between Kannada songs, damaged nine computers, servers and office furniture.
Station Director Abhinath Kumar told UNI that a complaint has been filed with the police against the attack. However, the Station continued its programme.
Mr Kumar claimed that usually 80 per cent of the songs played during the programme were Kannada, while only 20 per cent were Hindi.
However, the KRV activists alleged that the station should have played Kannada songs on Rajyotsava Day, which was being celebrated throughout the State.
