10 held for assault on doctor

Perambalur,Tamil Nadu, Nov 1 (UNI) Police arrested ten persons on the charges of assaulting a doctor while inspecting sanitary conditions at a residential area near here yesterday.

Police said a team of Health Department officials led by Mr K Ramesh conducted an inspection at RMKV Nagar, near here, following reports of two dengue cases in the area.

When Dr Ramesh advised a villager to keep the surroundings clean, the latter allegedly picked up a quarrel and assaulted Dr Ramesh.

Following a complaint from Dr ramesh, police has arrested ten persons.
