YHONEI blames Assam govt, Centre for Guwahati blasts
Aizawl, Oct 31(UNI) The Young Horizon North East India (YHONEI) has alleged that the negligence of the Assam government and the Centre had resulted in the serial blasts in Guwahati, which killed more than 60 people.
The fact that Guwahati, being a commercial hub of the northeastern India, could be a potential target of the terrorists was not considered at all by the Union government, a YHONEI communique said here today.
''We strongly condemn the negligence of state and the Centre in taking up precautionary measures in such a major and gateway city of NE India,'' it added.
The Nagaon(Assam)-based YHONEI further urged to speed up the process of the ongoing border fencing in a bid to to lessen the cross-border terrorism, apart from finding an amicable solution to the problem of insurgency in the northeastern region.
