Locals gear up for polls in Jammu Kashmir
Rajouri, Oct 31, 2008: Expectations run high as people in Jammu and Kashmir gear up for polls to elect a new legislative Assembly in the state. The seven-phase polling, which will take place from November 17 to December 24, will end months of central rule in the state imposed after the Congress party-led coalition government fell in July this year over a Hindu shrine land transfer row.
