Tata Motors Q2 net dips 34 per cent
Kolkata, Oct 31 (UNI) Tata Motors has suffered 34.1 per cent dip in its net profit at Rs 346.99 crore during the second quarter of the current fiscal against Rs 526.84 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Informing this, a company release said the firm had notched up 6.1 per cent increase in revenues (net of excise) at Rs 7,078.85 crore in the same period as compared to Rs 6,672.65 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Tata Motors' sales volume for the quarter (including exports) at 1,35,037 vehicles also declined by 1.1 per cent over 1,36,573 in the corresponding quarter last year, the release added.
It further informed that Tata Motors had market shares of 61.5 per cent and 12.8 per cent in commercial and passenger vehicles respectively.
