Police station attacked, 12 CRPF, police jawans injured in Kashmir
Baramulla, Oct 31 (UNI) At least twelve CRPF and Police personnel were injured when militants attacked a police station near here today, official sources said.
The militants hurled a hand grenade towards the Baramulla police station when senior officers were holding a meeting in the building at 1115 hrs.
The grenade, however, exploded in the compound of the police station where a large number of CRPF and police personnel were present.
According to sources, nine CRPF and three police personnel were injured in the incident.
This was the first major attack in north Kashmir after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced seven-phase Assembly polls in Jammu and Kahmir from November 17.
