Majority communalism more dangerous: Amar Singh
New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party (SP) today demanded a ban on extremist organisations like the Bajrang Dal, saying majority communalism could be more dangerous than minority communalism.
The majority of this country is tolerant, otherwise the country would not have been saved, SP General Secretray Amar Singh said while talking to mediapersons here after the meeting of his party's Parliamentary Board.
Though the minority and the majority communities should both show tolerance, but those with bigger numbers had the onus to be more patience.
Replying to a question on the alleged involvement of some army officers in the Malegaon blasts, the SP leader said terrorism of all kinds should be dealt with same measure.
He ridiculed BJP chief Rajnath Singh's defence of Sadhvi Pragya, who had been arrested in connection with the blasts.
Mr Rajnath Singh's attempt to save the Sadhvi was childish, he added.
