Little-known organisation claims responsibility of Assam blasts
Guwahati, Oct 31 (UNI) A little-known organisation, named Islamic Student Federation-Indian Mujahideen (ISF-IM), today claimed responsibility for triggering yesterday's serial blasts in Assam.
An SMS was sent to some of the media houses this evening from a mobile number which was registered in Morirabari, Nagaon. The message not only claimed responsibility but also thanked those who participated in the act.
The text message, which came from the mobile number 9864693690, said , ''We thank all our holy members and partners, Amin.'' The police have confirmed the receipt of such message and confirmed that such an organisation did exist and was formed in 2002. The phone number is registered under the name of one Nazeer Ahmed, police said.
The police and the NSG are now investigating into the matter.
