HRC directs top Mah Govt officials to be present on Nov 17

Mumbai, Oct 31 (UNI) Maharashtra Human Right Commission (HRC) chairman Shritija Vyas has directed Additional Chief Home Secretary, Director General of Police A N Roy, City Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor and Railway Police Commissioner to remain present on November 17 before the commission for hearing on a complaint on the state government's failure to maintain law and order in the state.

The direction was given pursuant to a complaint filed today by SP Youth Wing President Farooq Ghoshi against the state government, alleging its failure to maintain law and order in the city.

Mr Ghoshi alleged in his petition that the government had failed to maintain law and order in the state. The government also failed to maintain the rights of human beings, as citizens could not walk freely on the roads.
