Hindalco Q2 net profit up by 12 pc

Mumbai, Oct 31: Hindalco reported a 12 per cent increase in its net profit during the second quarter ended Sep 30, 2008 at Rs 720 crore against Rs 642.6 crore in the second quarter ended Sep 30, 2007.

Company's net sales, during the period, was up by 14 per cent at Rs 5,683 crore against Rs 4,966 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, Hindalco informed BSE.
