JK: Fire destroys shopping complex

Srinagar, Oct 31: Property worth lakhs was destroyed in a major fire in a shopping complex, housing two fur factories while two minors received burn injuries in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.

The fire broke out in a shopping complex at Safa Kadal in the Sher-e-Khas and immediately spread to entire building, the sources added.

Two fur factories and some other shops were gutted in the fire, they said, adding proprty worth lakhs was reduced to ashes.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they said.

Another fire broke out in the house of one Mohammad Subhan Lone at Kralpora in the frontier district of Kupwara, causing it partial damage.

Two children received burn injuries and were hospitalised, they said, adding the cause of the fire was not immmediately known.
