Bheema Cements' turnover increases by 28%

Hyderabad, Oct 31 (UNI) The city-based Bheema Cements today announced that its turnover had increased by 28% to Rs 2323.22 lakhs during the quarter ended September 30, 2008 from Rs 1812.03 lakhs during the corresponding period last year.

According to a press release here, net sales were recorded at Rs 1844.68 lakhs during the quarter, up 26% from Rs 1485.42 lakhs during the corresponding period last year while Profit After Tax registered a meagre 1% increase from Rs 456.45 lakhs during the corresponding period last year to Rs 460.50 lakhs during this quarter.

Earnings Per Share stood at Rs 2.07 this quarter as compared to Rs 5.63 during the corresponding period last year.

Gross sales for the half year ended September 30, 2008 was reported to be at Rs 4543.10 lakhs as compared to Rs 3504.86 during the corresponding half year last year. Net sales during the six months this year were recorded at Rs 3656.40 lakhs as against Rs Rs 2841.85 lakhs during the corresponding period last year.

PAT for the half year ended September 30, 2008 was Rs 884.02 lakhs, up from Rs 873.12 lakhs during the same period last year.
