Guwahati, Oct 31 (UNI) BJP leader L K Advani today pointed towards the crossborder terrorism from across Bangladesh for the Assam carnage and asked Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to accept the challenge.

Addressing a press conference after summing up a hurricane visit to the blast-affected areas as well as hospitals, he said there was no doubt that terrorism in Assam had been controlled from across the border.

'' It can be ULFA or Jehadi forces, but the fact remains that they were being guided by the ISI whose main design is to destabilise the whole country. The Government must pressurise Bangladesh diplomatically to stop cross-border terrorism, '' he added.

He demanded that legal system to fight terrorism must be augmented along with revamping of the National Intelligence Framework. ''The cardinal sin of the UPA government is to compromise the internal security of the country for the vote bank politics, ''he noted.

'' In Assam I have found two more organisations Muslim Students Association(MUSA) and Muslim Unite Liberation Tigers of Assam(MULTA) are working in disguise for SIMI, '' he stated.

He also castigated the Assam Government for ''abysmal failure'' in intelligence gathering. ''This is a cardinal mistake and yet this government is trying to protect the Jehadi elements,'' he said.

Regarding the mob violence which had rocked Guwahati since yesterday, he appealed for calm and urged the voters to use the democratic rights to punish the Congress government.

'' I hold two weak governments in New Delhi and Guwahati squarely responsible for the serial bomb blasts, '' he asserted.
