11 SAF jawans hurt in Naxal attack
Jagdalpur, Oct 31 (UNI) At least 11 jawans of the Chhattisgarh Special Armed Force were injured in a landmine blast, triggered by Maoist Naxalites in Narayanpur district this morning.
The jawans were moving on foot for road opening work when the ultras blasted the landmine about 3 km from Benur police station on Narayanpur- Kondagaon road, Bastar range Inspector General of Police K N Upadhyaya said.
The Naxalites also opened fire on the police personnel, who suffered injuries with stones propping up by the blast impact.
The injured were admitted to the Narayanpur hospital, police added.
