Hampi Utsav to be opened by Advani
Bangalore, Oct 30(UNI) 'Hampi Utsav,' the three-day Music and Cultural extravaganza at Hampi, a world heritage site, will be inaugurated by Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani on November three, Karnataka Tourism and Infrastructure Minister G Janardhana Reddy said here today.
Speaking to newspersons, Mr Reddy said the three-day annual event was being conducted by the Karnataka Government to commemorate the rise of Vijayanagar Empire which was revered for over 250 years.
Eminent artistes from all over the country will descend at Hampi and regale the audience which came from different parts of the country to witness the gala event.
Renowned artistes, including Asha Bhosle, Madavapeddi Murthy, L Subramanya and Shobha Naidu and local artistes from Sri Lanka, Maldives, Tanzania and Ethiopia would also take part, he said.
