Coimbatore's Committee proposes recreational facility

Coimbatore, Oct 30: The Coimbatore Corporation Council"s Standing Committee on Education, Parks and Playgrounds has proposed a recreation facility on 18.50 acres at the civic body"s 38-acre yard that was used for dumping garbage till 2002.

The committee has proposed that the recreation facility, including a park and playground, can be established with a private-public partnership. Corporate houses and individuals can join hands to establish the facility that can have modern recreational facilities.

It will serve the people in the city and also of the suburbs such as Kavundampalayam and Thudialur.
