Chhattisgarh Dy Speaker submits nomination papers
Raipur, Oct 30 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Assembly Deputy Speaker and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Badridhar Diwan and BJP state President Vishnudeo Sai were among candidates who submitted their nomination papers today in this poll-bound state.
Mr Diwan submitted his papers for Bilaspur district's Beltara seat, newly created after delimitation. That district's nine constituencies are among 51 that are going to the hustings in the second and last phase, official sources said.
Eight Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) nominees were among candidates who submitted papers on the third day today. A lone BSP candidate submitted papers yesterday.
Mr Sai submitted his papers along with Mr Jageshwar Ram and Mr Bharat Sai (both BJP) in Jashpur district. Mr Sai is contesting Pathalgaon, Mr Ram -- Jashpur and Mr Sai -- Kunkuri.
