Terror link investigation intensified: Kerala CM
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 29 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achutanandan today said the state has intensified investigation into alleged terror links.
Talking to newspersons here after the cabinet meeting, he said, ''Those believed to have terror links are being taken into custody and questioned under DIG Vinodh Kumar''.
When asked about the number of arrests, Mr Achutanandan said some arrests had been made and the numbers could not be divulged at this stage.
''It is known that all the four terrorists from Kerala who were killed in Kashmir and others arrested here have criminal backgrounds,'' he said.
On CPI (M) sate secretary Pinarayi Vijayan's allegation that the pro-Muslim National Development Front (NDF) was recruiting agents for extremist groups, he said NDF, along with the Hindu outfits- RSS and Bajrang Dal, was also a suspected outfit.
''Earlier also there were certain doubts about this organisation.
They recruit youngsters in the age group of 16 to 18 to their organisation,'' he added.

the
Pannapra-Vayalar
uprising
that
religious
education
should
not
encourage
the
youth
to
take
route
of
terrorism,
was
not
aimed
at
any
paritcular
religion,
he
said,
''I
had
said
religious
education
should
not
go
against
secularism
of
the
country.
But
certain
religious
leaders,
including
those
in
the
Muslim
League,
said
I
had
targeted
a
particular
community.''
