Nine school children injured in accident

Chittoor, Oct 29 (UNI) Nine school children were injured, three of them seriously, when their school bus overturned near Chintakupalli village in the district today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the school van, carrying nearly 30 children, overturned. The van was proceeding to Chittoor from Vengampalli to drop children at the school.

The incident occurred when the driver lost control over the vehicle , police said, adding that the seriously injured were admitted to Chittoor Government hospital.

The condition of the seriously injured children was stated to be normal and a case had been registered against the driver, they added.
