CM celebrates Diwali with the children of Balika Ashram

Shimla, Oct 29 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal celebrated Diwali with the children of Balika Ashram at Mashobra yesterday.

On this occasion, he also distributed sweets and fire-crackers among the children.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the government was providing every possible help to the Bal Ashrams in the state, so as to rehabilitated the inmates. He said that the children would be imparted vocational training for which government would bear all expenses.

Mr Dhumal said that a new complex for the Ashram at a cost of Rs three crore would be constructed at Mashobra and the construction work would be started after obtaining necessary sanction.
