Two NIT students drown in Puri sea
Puri, Oct 26 (UNI) In a tragic incident two students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) of Rourkela were drowned while taking bath in the sea here.
Police said 13 students from the NIT were taking bath when all of them were swept away in the wave but the fishermen and the local people present at the spot could manage to rescue 12 students.
Four of the rescued students were admitted in the District Headquarters Hospital where Rabi Jaiswal died while two others Abhisekh Padhi and S Dubhrajit Khikllar were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital as their condition turned critical.
The body of one Bhusan Babu could not be retrieved from the sea and efforts are on to trace the missing student, police said.
