Three Maoists held, explosives seized
Vijayawada, Oct 27 (UNI) Police today arrested three persons belonging to the CPI Maoists and seized explosives and other articles from them at the outskirts of Pamidipadu Village in Guntur District.
Police said acting on a tip-off, Bandlamottu Sub-Inspector and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel apprehended Saake Srinu, Murikipudi Anand Rao and Meesaala Benz.
Based on their confession, ammunition was recovered, including 12 tin bombs and 90 electrical detonators. Extremist literature books and six audio cassettes were also seozed.
The accused were remanded to judicial custody.
A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
