Three killed, 15 injured in Jammu road accidents
Jammu, Oct 27 (UNI) Three people were killed while 15 others were injured in different road accidents in the last 24 hours in Jammu region, police reports here said.
''A pedestrian died on the spot when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle on Bye-Pass road near Narwal,'' police said adding that the deceased was identified as Inderdeep Singh, resident of Channi Himmat.
Meanwhile one Sham Kumar, resident of R S Pura who was undergoing treatment in GMC Jammu after being injured in a road accident, died here at Government Medical College Hospital.
Meanwhile an unidentified male, aged 25, was run over by train this afternoon and died on the spot. The body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary for identification, the police added.
However, a motorcyclist and a pillion-rider suffered injuries when they were hit by a speeding truck on Jammu-Kathua National Highway.
The injured were identified as Anchal Dass, and Ashok, both residents of Sheri Kotli.
Meanwhile at least 13 people were injured in different road accidents and were being treated at different hospitals of the region, the police said.
