TDP suspends 3 partymen for attack on media

Hyderabad, Oct 27 (UNI) Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu today suspended three workers of the party's youth wing for attacking electronic media journalists at Yuva Garjana venue on the outskirts of Guntur yesterday.

While expressing his regrets on the incident, Mr Naidu suspended Nagaraju, Prudviraju and Lakshmaiah Choudhary from the party for their alleged involvement in the attack.

The TDP workers attacked the journalists when they were taking pictures of clashes between two factions of the party at the venue after TDP Leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu left the place after inspecting the arrangements.

Mr Naidu said actor 'Junior' NTR could not attend the party's Yuva Garjana meeting at Guntur on November 5 as he was busy with shooting.

However, he would attend remaining meetings to be held in various parts of the state, Mr Naidu added.

APUWJ President D Somasundar and General Secretary Narender Reddy and leaders of the Electronic Media Cameramen Association, in a statement condemned the attack.
