Seven maoists arrested, firearms recovered
Gaya, Oct 27 (UNI) Seven hardcore guerillas of the proscribed CPI (Maoist) were arrested and recovered a cache of firearms from them at Rajiganj village under Sarghati police station area in the district.
Police Superintendent R Mallar Vizi said acting on a tip-off, raid was conducted at a hideout in Rajiganj village leading to the arrest of the seven Maoist activists.
''Three guns, one sten gun, one automatic rifle, one pistol and several live cartridges were recovered from the spot during the search operation,'' she said adding incriminating literatures were also recovered from there.
Arrested guerillas were being interrogated to elicit information about other acomplices who managed to escape from the spot during the raid, she added.
