India take on Iran on Oct 29 in Asian Football U-19 tournament
Chandigarh, Oct 27 (UNI) The Indian Under-19 team which is competing in the Asian Football Confederation Under-19 Women's Championship 2009 qualification round, play their first match against Iran at Kuala Lumpur on October 29.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has sent a 27-member team, including four officials, to the Kuala Lumpur tournament. The team captained by Punjab's Manpreet Kaur left for Malaysia last night.
India have been clubbed in Group B alongwith Australia, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Iran. India play their first match against Iran on October 29 and Thailand on October 31. Their next fixtures are against Australila on November 2 and Chinese Taipei on November 7.
The Team : Aditi Chauhan, Candice Fernandes, Samta Dhiman, Suprava Samal, Narmada Basumatary, Ramandeep Kaur Dhaliwal, Pallabita Borah, Swati Rawat, Romila Kall, G Radharani Devi, Y Kamala Devi, Manpreet Kaur (captain) , Sabita Narzary, Sradhanjali Sahoo, Sujita Demu Murgaonkar, Sangita Patra, Kalpana Roy, Y Chandrajini Devi, Disha Malhotra, Jhilli Munda, Supriya Routray, Malvita Mascarenhas and Snehal Dilip Morajkar.
Mohammad Ali (coach),Carol Lucy Fernandes (coach), Ritcha Kaundal (Physio) and L Ranjit Roy (Manager) will accompany the team as officials.
