GST transport deploys more buses for Diwali

Ahmedabad, Oct 27 (UNI) Gujarat State Transport (GST) has deployed more than 1,000 additional buses to clear the heavy rush of pople in view of Diwali festival.

According to an official release, GST normally plys around 8,000 buses daily. Keeping in view the heavy rush of people during the Diwali festival, it has decided to ply 1,000 additional buses in the state. Half of the additional buses are plying between different pilgrimage places like Ambji, Pavagadh and Junagadh.

A big fair is held every year near Nadiad in central Gujarat and thousands of people throng it. GST has also deployed additional buses on that route, the release added.
