Filing of nominations for the first phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly elections ends today
Raigarh, Oct 27 : Filing of nominations for the first phase of Chattisgarh Assembly elections comes to an end today.
Polling will be held on the November 14 in 39 constituencies out of total 90. The Notification for the second and final phase is likely to be issued today.
Election officials in the state said that the date of scrutiny is October 29 and last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 31.
Polling for the remaining 51 seats will be held on November 20,
In Jammu and Kashmir filing of nominations for the first phase of elections is on. Ten of the 87 assembly constituencies will go to polls in the first phase of the seven-stage poll in the state.
Ten assembly constituencies comprising Gurez, Sonawari and Bandipora in north Kashmir, Nobra, Leh, Kargil and Zanskar in Ladakh region and Surankote, Mendhar and Poonch-Haveli in Poonch district will go to the polls on November 17 in this phase.
Meanwhile, preparations are in full swing to ensure free and fair elections for the assemblies of Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Delhi.
