Banned PLFI claims to enjoy protection from J' khand CM
Ranchi, Oct 27 (UNI) People's Liberation Front of India zonal commander Lorance Mundri alias Carlos today claimed that the banned organisation enjoyed ''protection'' from none other than Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren.
Carlos made this sensational revealation at the police headquarters here adding PLFI chief Dinesh Gop used to tell him that he had the ''blessings'' of Mr Soren.
Carlos talking to reporters also admitted that he himself had committed about 30 murders.
The PLFI members said he was assigned to carry out operation at Torpa, Tapkara, Raniya, Bangaon, Jhanjhar, Tamar, Khunti and Murhu.
DGP V D Ram, who was present at the press conference, said Carlos, originally belonging to Patram Mundri village under Bandgao police station in West Singhbhum district, was charged with 26 cases in terms of mainly murder and kidnapping.
Carlos was arrested yesterday along with Ram Mundu alias Arvind Munda, Khokha Hasmay alias Ashok Hasmay, Sigray Munda alias Armu Munda and Mahadev Munda.
Police recovered two carbines, a pistol, two country made rifles, about 800 cartridges, 500 detonators, two motorcycles, PLFI literature and posters and cash of Rs 92,000.
