Air Arabia launches daily flights to Sharjah from RGIA

Hyderabad, Oct 27 (UNI) Air Arabia, the first and the largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the West Asia and North Africa, today launched its daily service to Hyderabad.

The inaugural flight of Air Arabia to Hyderabad landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 0530 hrs today. The A320 aircraft received a water cannon salute from fire-fighters 'Panthers', at the rapid exit way. It was parked successfully at Bay No 56 and took off later at 0615 hrs, a press release said here.

The passengers and crew of the inaugural flight were accorded a warm welcome. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) Director C Prasanna, Chief Operating Officer Peter Noyce and Chief Commercial Officer Viswanath Attaluri were present on the occasion.

The Air Arabia will operate flights to Hyderabad daily, leaving Sharjah at 0020 hrs and arriving at Hyderabad at 0530 hrs. The flights will leave Hyderabad at 0615 hrs and arrive in Sharjah at 0840 hrs. Its A320 aircraft can accommodate 162 passengers, the release said.

Hyderabad is Air Arabia's 43rd global destination, reinforcing its status as the largest destination network in India of any West Asia-based carrier. Currently, Air Arabia provides direct services to Ahmedabad, Bengalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
