SUCI demands lowering of prices of petroleum goods
Kolkata, Oct 26 (UNI) SUCI general secretary Nihar Mukherjee today expressed concern over Union government's ''inaction'' to lower prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and other petroleum products in proportion with the decline in the international oil tariff.
In a statement, he said the ''inaction'' of the government to lower prices of petroleum goods was aggravating the plight of the common people, who already hit hard by the soaring prices of all essential commodities.
Mr Mukherjee said to protest against this the Socialist Unity Centre of India would observe an ''All India Protest Day'' tomorrow to press upon the government to concede the demand forthwith.
