Six militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 25 (UNI) At least six militants were nabbed by police and Army from different areas in Manipur today.

A combined team of the Imphal West police commandos and the 12 Maratha Light Infantry (MLI) arrested three cadres of the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) group from Mayang Imphal, L Kailun, Sr Superintendent of Imphal West police, said.

In another incident, troops of 34 AR nabbed a cadre of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) from Thoubal district.

In yet another incident, troops of 34 AR also nabbed a cadre of People's United Liberation Front from Thoubal district.

In a separate incident, troops of 31 AR nabbed a cadre of United National Liberation Front from Moreh in Chandel district.

Meanwhile, a bomb exploded near the residence of L Anilkumar, Chairman of the Japan Project Sericulture Cooperative Federation.

However, none was injured.

Police suspected the involvement of militants in the blast.
